After leaving Rome and driving along the "Sun Route" motorway, we will
cross the regions of Lazio and Campania. From the road you will enjoy
the view of the famous Abbey of Montecassino. Once in Naples, there will
be a short panoramic tour of the city, before embarking for Capri.
On arrival, weather permitting, we will enjoy a visit of the Blue
Grotto, by rowing boats ( should the visit of Blue Grotto is impossible,
it will replaced by a visit to Faraglioni ). On the way back, from the
harbour of Marina Grande, we will go to Anacapri, a tiny and picturesque
mediterranean-style village with a wonderful view on the whole Gulf of
Naples. Lunch break in a typical restaurant. Free time at disposal to
reach the celebrated "Piazzetta" and to wander trough the characteristic
streets of this little town. Return to Rome.

After a short panoramic tour of its northern part, we will leave
Rome, by the “Sun Route” motorway. Our first stop will be in Orvieto,
gorgeous medieval small town, famous for its Cathedral.The route is
dotted with charming medieval towns such as Spoleto (famous for its
Festival dei Due Mondi), Trevi, Foligno, Spello and the most famous:
Assisi. The mystic city of Saint Francis, still surrounded by the
ancient walls, is spread on the green slopes of Mount Subasio with its
colourful houses of pink stone, narrow streets, flower decked balconies,
noble palaces: all provide beautiful views for memorable pictures (do
not forget your camera).
An interesting visit to the Church of St. Mary of Angels and Saint
Francis' Basilica with its early renaissance masterpieces of Giotto and
Cimabue. Enjoy browsing in the old town,
shopping in the little stores and in the artisans shops... a pleasant
lunch in a restaurant.
Our leisure tour will end at the Hotels in Rome at about 8.00 pm. (No
admittance into the churches for those wearing shorts)
